The Council on
Recovery Housing

CoRH is Dedicated to excellence and best practice in recovery home spaces.

About CoRH

In response to the growing need for cohesive guidance and advocacy within the recovery home industry, Arizona State University (ASU) Opioid Initiative’s team embarked on a mission to establish a group dedicated to excellence and best practice in recovery home spaces. Nine members, all with varying backgrounds and levels of expertise in the recovery housing field were successfully recruited, combining professional knowledge with personal lived experiences needed to create change.

Throughout the span of five months, the council members held discussions surrounding the current challenges in the industry with the central objective to define the overarching purpose and long-term goals of the organization. The product of these meetings will guide the activities and commitment to educating policymakers and the public on best practices in order to promote and change the perception of recovery homes within the state of Arizona. At the conclusion of the developmental process, the council will be launched as a formal, independent organization and ASU will ultimately step away from these efforts.
