Module 2 - Unit 2: Organizational Assessment

Eyes on the Prize

Something to keep in mind as you go through this unit:

  • When you create goals, you might feel excited, overwhelmed, or even get a little carried away. That’s part of the process!
  • You don’t have to address everything at once.
  • Channel that energy towards focused goals.

Guiding Tools

There are plenty of tools to help you create and maintain successful recovery homes. Here are just a few examples:

  • NARR Guidelines Recovery Homes
  • AzRHA Quality & Operational Standards
  • AzRHA Certification Requirements
  • Client and house manager feedback
  • Additional resources can be found within the resources listed at the bottom of this webpage.

AzRHA’s Quality & Operational Standards

As one example, AzHRA’s Quality & Operational Standards are based on NARR’s National Standards.

With a few exceptions, the following standards apply to all levels of recovery residences.

  • As you review these standards, consider the following: What areas are you meeting?

SWOT Analysis

Now that you have some guiding tools, a SWOT Analysis is one method to assess your organization and identify your goals.

This collaborative process can include your board, house managers, clients and other stakeholders.

We created a SWOT Analysis exercise and templates for you to complete this process with your team.
